PHOENICIA, Tyre. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ 30mm (21.53 g, 6h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Uncertain male figure standing right, holding chlamys and scepter; to right, four stags galloping right; murex shell below stags. Cf. Rouvier 2434; SNG Copenhagen -, but cf. 373 for similar reverse type of Tranquillina; BMC -; AUB -. Near VF, dark brown patina, some earthen highlights, adjustment marks on both sides.
